Hi! We’re excited about our new web series and we want you, the viewer, to weigh in and let us know which actor you’d like to see play the lead character of Zimm.
We have two great actors and we love what each of them bring to the character. However, we can only have one Zimm.
Should Zimm be MALE or FEMALE? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment and clicking on the poll to your right.
Even though this is a rough cut from the pilot and has TEMP SOUND and a TEMP SCORE, you’ll get the idea.

Male! I liked the female too, but to me something about her was sort of… awkward? I don’t know, it’s really a tough choice… Especially since I don’t think their acting skills can be really measured by a video as short as this. It’s really just about whether people want to watch a guy or a girl…
It seems to me that these lines for this scene are written for a male. You know, with all the “you’re a gurl ima big strong maaaan” humour. Not only that it seems like a guy-thing, it’s also more natural considering the other two people in the scene. What I mean is… you know, it works better with the male Zimm, because his sarcastic little punchline only targets one person, in this case the big bodyguardguy. That makes it easy for the hire-person to ignore Zimm’s Evil Jokes and not to be annoyed in the least and just keep talking about the subject.
My point being… If the rest of the show’s manuscript is full of lines written while a male Zimm in mind, what’s the point to try and change him into a female? You know, that’s just… not going to work… very well….
So, yes. Male, please.

The female was much better actor it gave it more a darker feel with I’m going to kick your ass action. I like the clarkson from the male version as he gave it a more silent but I know what I’m doing. the female version of clarkson made me feel like he was more enforcer and less brians with a little mike tyson feel.
also not sure how much the actor had in terms of scene setup and might not be there fault but in the female version it made it seem that the actor was walking out of the parking garage about to catch a plane. the male version he gets out of the car talks with the agents and go to the driver side to make it seem like he was getting back into the car.

I like the female for this role. She had moments that reminded me of Jack Bauer and other moments that reminded of Katee Sackoff in Battlestar Gallactica. The male actor seems like he’s more comedic which would be great if that’s what the producers want for this part..

Female… much stronger… much more believable. Also, the black actor in the male lead short was better than the one in the female lead short. Just sayin” The guy was ok but just didn’t seem to carry the weight of the role…
